Description

Ok, did a quickie for the front.

I like logical, realistic mechs. I'm also a fan of universe-crossing battles. (Armored core vs Gundam vs Escaflowne) When I say gundam, I refer to the Zaku/char age when it was more realistic.

None of this GODMODE crap that's out now. /rant

The original idea for this mech is to solve the problem I have with robots with hands. Seriously, why do gundams have hands for their guns?

This mech uses magnetic fields to carry it's arm weapons. It allows for seamless replacing of armaments as well as manipulation of any type of metal on the battlefied to bend and form to tools and weapons/shields.

(I love the visual of this guy picking up an enemy tank and smashing it into a shield to use. Sucks to be the guy inside the tank. I really want to do this for a VFX shot with a normal car.)

If need be, an arm type unit can also be used by the versatile magnetic field system. But it can remote fire any hand based weapon dropped by any mech in any universe.

Heh, at least i'm not the only one who thinks of mechs as logical and realistic machines :P.

These magnetic forces could indeed be of great help on the battlefield, but the energy to lift a tank is quite a lot, so unless it has some big-ass reactor inside, it wouldn't be able to lift a tank... However, this same technology could be adapted to create one-directional EMP pulses, breaking the shield anyhow :P.
